With the SRAM Rival XPLR eTap AXS Kit, you can equip your bike with an existing 1x crank with the new Rival eTap AXS circuit.
Shift brake lever including hydraulic disc brake
With the Rival eTap AXS HRD shift-brake system, you can brake comfortably and in a controlled manner from any position and transmit your shift commands wirelessly. In contrast to the Red AXS and Force AXS shifters, the hoods of the Rival have become significantly flatter and narrower. Not only do they look good, they are also compatible with all hand sizes. Also new are the textured shift paddles and rubber grips for even more control and comfort. The reach adjustment on the brake lever ensures the best possible ergonomics. The integration of the Rival into the AXS platform offers you the possibility to adapt the circuit to your personal preferences via the associated smartphone app, to evaluate your switching behavior or to carry out firmware updates. In addition to the freely selectable assignment of the shift buttons, the shift can also be operated in semi-automatic mode, in which the rear derailleur and front derailleur synchronize themselves and you only have to choose between an easier and heavier gear. However, ports for additional switches (blips), as found on the Red/Force AXS units, are not found on the Rival AXS shifters. Based on the award-winning HydroHC platform, the two-piece caliper is beyond any doubt when it comes to braking performance and heat management.

The 1x specific Rival XPLR rear derailleur has been specially developed for the needs of modern Gravel riders. In combination with the right XPLR cassette with 10-44 teeth, you have enough bandwidth to climb every climb. Narrow gear steps on the smaller sprockets help you to maintain your comfortable cadence at high speeds. In-house technologies that have been tried and tested over many years ensure the necessary reliability in use under rough off-road conditions. The electronic radio eTap shift logic ensures intuitive shifting and easy setup. You can personalize the switching behavior via the AXS APP. Enlarged jockey wheels with the tried-and-tested X-Sync Narrow-Wide tooth profile keep the chain securely in place, even under the hardest of shocks. In addition, a spring clutch is used to dampen vibrations. The proven SRAM eTap battery (not included in the scope of delivery) provides the necessary power, with which you can operate the rear derailleur for over 1000 kilometers or around 60 driving hours. An ANT+ transmitter integrated in the rear derailleur enables communication between your bike computer and the rear derailleur. Among other things, you can display the charge status of the battery and the current gear in your cockpit.
Charger/Battery
The integrated batteries in the rear derailleur and front derailleur have a range of over 1000 kilometers. The charge status can be read at any time via LED lights. The batteries for the rear derailleur and derailleur are identical and can therefore be replaced on the go. With the included charger, the batteries are recharged within an hour.
